AHHHH yes. Stress. The invisible monster that is in your head that is slowly tearing apart your life.
I don’t know about you, but this has been the most stressful month for me…ever. Between trying to balance work, school, and a social life, I have determined that being human is not easy.
There is really no easy cure for stress, but I am going to talk to you guys about things I have learned that help relieve and prevent stress!
- STOP FUCKING PROCRASTINATING
Stop lying to yourself, we are all guilty of it. I know it’s tempting to keep putting off that project that is due in a week in order to finish watching 13 Reasons Why, but STOP! Wouldn’t you rather skip one hour of watching netflix to avoid the feeling of the world ending because of all of the work you have to do.
2. Make a list of all the things you have to do
Sometimes when all of the tasks you have to do are filling your head constantly, it can be insanely overwhelming. Take a few minutes and list out all of the major things you have to do. Its very relieving to get all of this out of your head and onto paper.
3. Take an hour to do whatever you want
If you can’t find the motivation to do your work because you’re too distracted, take only an hour to do something else. Watch netflix, workout, read, whatever you want but you have to PROMISE yourself that you will get your work done after.

Let’s say you have a paper due on May 30th. Put in your calender that it is due May 25th. This way you’ll be sure to get it done in time, and still have a little bit to revise it if you need to!
